DescriptionIn 1864, Rev. Dr. Luther Halsey Gulick and Mrs. Louisa Gulick opened their home on King Street in Honolulu to board and educate Hawaiian girls alongside their own children. This was the humble beginnings of Kawaiaha'o Seminary.
